Welcome to your gaming hell. This is an I wanna be the guy hack made by myself; Miracle and my helpful partner; Spikey. This has been in the making for over a year now and is still in progress. There is a recent beta (2.0) available for download today. Boshy is, all in all, a trial game. You play it because you want a painful thing that'll teach you to be, well, 'the Boshy'. As such, it is a magnificent game. The levels each mirror a world from one or several great videogame series with their musics and backgrounds.

The game is a fangame of I Wanna Be the Guy with the title being a reference to it and many other fangames with similar titles.

Many elements such as bosses, playable characters and npcs are tributes/parodies of popular video games, such as Super Mario, Kirby and Street Fighter while other elements are references to obscure games such as The Cheetahmen or originally made.
The game received mixed reviews some enjoying the references and difficulty while others criticizing it for unfair gameplay[3] This product also uses assets taken directly from other games, such as sprites, sound effects and music.
It has become popular in the speedrunning community, and has been featured at multiple Games Done Quick events.[4][5]
